Chicago Kids Co. at Metropolis

The Chicago Kids Company brings its musical production of "Cinderella" to the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre for a brief run. The show is suited to children in kindergarten through third grade.

'Seussical' comes to Oakbrook Terrace

The Cat in the Hat comes to Drury Lane Oak Brook to narrate its children's theater production of "Seussical The Musical," about the kindhearted Horton the Elephant helping a young Who named JoJo bring harmony to her planet. Bernie Yvon, currently playing the Pharoah in Marriott Theatre's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," stars as Horton.

10 comedians for $10

It's no joke, Zanies Vernon Hills delivers a recession-buster show on Thursday, April 2, featuring 10 comedians doing 10 minutes of what we're sure is killer material, for only $10. There's still a two-item food or beverage minimum, but the club will accept coupons and discounts that night.

• A woman searches for a lost hour that changed her life forever in a strange world with an odd name in Anthony Neilson's "The Wonderful World of Dissocia." Darrell W. • Jewish settlers in Israel's West Bank confront a government they believe has betrayed them in "Pangs of the Messiah," Motti Lerner's drama set in 2012, following the signing of a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians. • Previews continue through Sunday, March 29, for Victory Gardens' world premiere of "Class Dismissed" by playwright Jeffrey Sweet, whose association with the theater spans 30 years. Set during the 1960s, the comedy centers around a rich young college student whose father wants him to enter the family business.
