Lindenhurst man dies in crash

A 42-year-old Lindenhurst man was killed in a single vehicle crash Sunday about 3 p.m. on Grass Lake Road just outside of Lindenhurst.

The man was driving a van and may have struck a tree on the side of the road, according to Lake County Coroner Richard Keller. No one else was in the vehicle.

The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and pronounced dead at 4:55 p.m. The sheriff's department is investigating.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.
