Media rarely shares abortion foes' views

Ellen Goodman pontificates about once a week on the issue of Abortion and the safe-sex agenda. She brings a secular and often misleading assessment of the issues. In her recent diatribe, she seems disappointed that distribution of contraceptives was eliminated from the stimulus package. Any rational person would have to admit that it doesn't belong in a stimulus package. However, Ellen attributes the defeat of this portion of the bill to the Right Wing. Most Americans would disagree with Ellen. Furthermore, Ellen isn't the only one giving a secular slant on the abortion issue. Others have done likewise. In fact I don't recall the last time this issue was addressed from the pro-life side.

The majority of Americans are opposed to unrestricted abortions, except in the case of rape, incest or the health of the mother. I believe the Daily Herald should present the other side of the issue on your Editorial Page if balanced reporting is your goal.
