Antioch wins Class 2A regional

Ryan Geidner and Jake Jost each scored twice, as Antioch's boys soccer team defeated Crystal Lake Central 5-1 in the championship match of the Class 2A Kaneland regional Friday.

Oscar Segura added a goal and 2 assists for the Sequoits, who advance to Tuesday's 4 p.m. sectional semifinal at Hampshire against the winner of today's 11 a.m. Grayslake Central regional final between Wheaton Academy and Oswego.

Robert Nogle, Andre Sippy and Jordan Frazer also had assists for Antioch, while keeper Alex Grimm made 5 saves.

At Lakes: The Class 2A regional final between the host Eagles and Grayslake North was postponed.

The game will be made up at 11 a.m. today at Grayslake Central.
