Hoffman cops release photo of bank robbery suspect
Hoffman Estates police say they are investigating if last week's bank robbery has any connection to other heists in the area.
Police also released an image taken from the bank's security camera shot around 5 p.m. Friday Feb. 27 at the First American Bank on 395 W. Higgins Road.
The male robber demanded money without displaying or saying he was armed, , said Sgt. Greg Poulos. The male bank teller handed the robber an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The robber then walked out on Spring Mill Drive near Oak Tree Court, police said.
The robber is described as white, between 38 and 40 years old, 5-feet 7-inches tall weighing 150 pounds. He had dark stubble facial hair and wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, dark sunglasses, a dark knit hat and blue jeans. Police continue to investigate the matter with the FBI.
