Aurora named one of America’s safest cities by financial website

Aurora was named one of America's safest cities to live in, according to an analysis by the WalletHub website.

The survey factored in home and community safety, natural disaster risk and financial safety. Aurora placed 24th of the 182 cities analyzed and was the only Illinois city to make the top 25. The analysis included the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state.

Juneau, Alaska; Warwick, Rhode Island; and Overland Park, Kansas ranked as one through three.
