Chicago Wolves begin weekend with a loss at Texas

The Chicago Wolves began a two-game weekend series in Texas with a 4-3 loss against the Stars on Saturday night.

Ronan Seeley, Aleksi Heimosalmi and Pierre-Olivier Joseph all scored, but it wasn’t enough as Texas took the first of back-to-back games.

Texas struck first just a minute, 12 seconds into the opening period when Dylan Hryckowian converted on a breakaway, beating Wolves goaltender Cayden Primeau to the glove side.

The Wolves responded early in the second period when Seeley scored his first goal of the season 3:25 into the middle period. The defenseman followed up an Ivan Ryabkin shot and buried the rebound past Stars goaltender Brandon Halverson. Ryabkin and Viktor Neuchev were awarded assists.
