A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night while crossing Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora, authorities said.
Police say it happened around 6:11 p.m. in the 500 block of North Farnsworth, near Indian Avenue.
A 74-year-old woman was crossing Farnsworth from west to east, south of Indian, and was hit by a northbound Chrysler 200 sedan.
Police did not release her name, saying the Kane County coroner will identify her and release that information after an autopsy is performed.
The driver of the car was treated at a hospital for minor injuries, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (630) 256-5330 or send an email to tipos@aurora.il.us.
