Rain Ministries founders present First Nations Bible Version at Batavia church service

On Sunday, Nov. 8, Terry and Darlene Wildman of Rain Ministries will speak at the 10 a.m. service at the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Ave.

The couple are the founders of Rain Ministries, which, since 2002, has encouraged Indigenous peoples to discover and fulfill the Creator’s purpose for their lives in harmony with his Son, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One. They are committed to partnering with Native communities to develop culturally meaningful expressions of worship and to make the Creator known in ways that honor their heritage.

A part of this work has been the development of the First Nations Version of the Bible, a new translation of the Sacred Scriptures by and for the Indigenous peoples of North Americans. At present, the team has completed the New Testament, as well as Psalms and Proverbs.

Join the Nov. 8 service for more insight into their amazing projects, integrated worship, and an invitation for reconciliation between Christian churches and First Nations people through respectful dialogue and mutual understanding. The service will be livestreamed at youtube.com/@thecongregationalchurchofb3983.
