Holiday wine tasting supports three Barrington-area charities
On Saturday, Nov. 7, Vin Chicago is hosting its annual holiday tasting featuring over 50 big reds, whites, and sparkling wines from around the world at Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington. The event from 6 to 8:30 p.m. will benefit Barrington Youth & Family Services, Meg's Legacy of Hope, and Mane in Heaven. Tickets are $75 (plus tax) and include bites from the Makray kitchen while you enjoy the tastings.
They will be popping the corks on over 50 big reds, sparkling wines and a few refreshing whites from around the world, plus a local spirits table featuring Windows Distillery from Sycamore. Special guest winemaker Elio Germano of Ettore Germano will be pouring his latest releases from his family's estate in Barolo, Italy.
This year, they will be tying in Vin Chicago's “Uncorking for a Cause” benefit weekend into the event, featuring three local nonprofit organizations: Barrington Youth and Family Services, Meg's Legacy of Hope, and Mane in Heaven. Place an order at the event and 10% of your purchase will be donated to the participating organization of your choice. This is an opportunity to stock up for the holiday season, all while giving back to your community.
