Anguish over actions in response to Ukraine

I would like to express my heartfelt anguish for the actions of my country in regards to Ukraine. Most Americans are with Ukraine. Its citizenry is one of the most courageous people of my time.

My father fought in World War II. I trudged through the Cold War and times of discrimination and social unrest. Sadly, I continue to trudge.

The current administration's actions are being done without the consent of the governed. It is wrong.

The current state of our union is not good. I don’t know if I’m more disgusted by the snake oil salesman who became president, the nonelected few who are running our country and world affairs, the Congress that has abdicated its responsibility to govern or the Supreme Court that has turned its back on stare decisis and politicized our legal system.

Please use your voice and your vote. You have a choice. Do not go gentle into that good night.
