True Patriots Care to place over 1,500 wreaths on veteran graves in Dundee Township cemeteries
True Patriots Care hopes to place over 1,500 wreaths in the Dundee Township cemeteries in honor of National Wreaths Across America Day which takes place on Saturday, Dec. 19. This is the fourth year that the organization will participate in this national program.
Wreaths Across America started as a simple gesture of thanks that has grown into a national, yearlong movement of dedicated volunteers and communities coming together to not only remember the nation’s fallen and honor their service, but to teach the next generation about the value of freedom.
This year, there will be more than 6,000 participating locations placing veterans’ wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day with millions of volunteers coming together.
As the hosting organization for the Dundee Township cemeteries, True Patriots Care is soliciting donations from the community and nearby villages in an effort to place sponsored wreaths on the headstones of local heroes laid to rest in the cemeteries, to ensure that the individuals who served to protect the freedoms of our country will never be forgotten, and to bring the community together in patriotic commemoration.
Wreath sponsorships are available for just $17 at bit.ly/tpcwaa.
“I am forever thankful to our community of supporters and volunteers who continue to support our efforts,” said Jerry Christopherson, True Patriots Care founder and Army veteran. “It is our goal at True Patriots Care to recognize and honor first responders and members of the military and honor them for their service. We are grateful to be able to do it in such a big way by participating in Wreaths Across America Day.”
Community members, businesses, schools, and civic organizations are also encouraged to take their support one step further by starting their own sponsorship group and raising funds for their group. By forming a group, you can help rally friends, colleagues, and neighbors to sponsor wreaths and ensure that every veteran laid to rest in Dundee Township is honored this December.
Sponsorship groups receive tools and support from Wreaths Across America to make fundraising simple and impactful, while strengthening the community’s shared commitment to remembering, honoring, and teaching future generations about the sacrifices made for our freedom.

The community is invited to come out and help place wreaths on the veteran graves. For information, to donate or to sign up to volunteer, visit bit.ly/tpcwaa.
