Des Plaines City Council could approve Cumberland Crossing development plan Monday
The Des Plaines City Council will meet Monday night to vote on a development plan for an apartment-and-retail complex at 414 E. Golf Road.
It’s the second scheduled vote for the proposed Cumberland Crossing project.
A four-story building with 226 apartments and ground-floor retail space is envisioned.
The land is vacant. It once was the site of the former Pacific Coast Feather Co., which was demolished in 2021.
The 6-acre property is in the 4th Ward. It’s near the Cumberland Metra station and about one-third of a mile southwest of the Cumberland Circle traffic circle.
If the project moves forward, construction could begin in early 2027. It’s projected to be completed in late 2028.
