Tadelman’s Spooktacular Asylum returns with block party for charity
For Halloween Oct. 31, Rick Tadelman’s Spooktacular Asylum, 988 Providence Lane in Buffalo Grove, will have a block party feel as the street will be shut down so there will be plenty of room for games and DJ entertainment. The event will be raising money for the American Cancer Society. Last year’s event drew more than 1,500 people.
Garrett’s Popcorn is donating 800 popcorn bags with Sunset Foods donating the fresh popcorn. Culver’s is donating over 300 ice cream cone coupons. Every child will receive a prize as well as a free candy.
Tadelman has added new animatronics to his gigantic display, which has now expanded to the backyard and neighbor’s yard, as well as a spooky trail. It is both family friendly and scary.
The yard is lit from 5:15 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, to Sunday, Nov. 1, with an extra hour until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is located near Route 83 and Arlington Heights Road.
