CASA Kane County hosts 14th annual Super Heroes Luncheon to support foster care advocacy

CASA Kane County invites the community to its 14th annual Super Heroes Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 5, for an inspiring afternoon of community, connection, and purpose!

More than just a luncheon, this event is an opportunity to spread awareness of CASA’s mission throughout the community and share the important work being done to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

CASA Kane County provides advocacy for all of the children entering foster care through the Kane County Juvenile Court system. Through dedicated CASA/GAL volunteers, we ensure these children have a consistent, caring voice advocating for their best interests during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

The luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waubonsee Community College Academic & Professional Center, 47 Waubonsee Drive, Sugar Grove. Tickets are $25, which includes a box lunch. The deadline to register is 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. For tickets, go to casakanecounty.org.

The featured speaker will be Lynn Price, an author, social entrepreneur, and former youth in foster care whose life’s work has focused on improving outcomes for children and families impacted by the foster care system. She is the founder of Camp To Belong, an organization dedicated to reconnecting siblings separated in foster care. She has become a leading voice for advocacy, resilience, and belonging. Her inspiring story and passionate commitment to helping vulnerable children have earned her numerous honors, including the Points of Light President’s Service Award and Oprah’s Angel Network Use Your Life Award. A book signing with Price will follow the luncheon.
