Elgin man faces multiple felony charges in August shooting

An Elgin man faces 11 felony charges stemming the August shooting of a woman in Aurora.

Eduardo G. Rodriguez, 21, of the 300 block of McClure Avenue, was arrested Monday in connection with the Aug. 3 shooting on the 700 block of Wilson Street.

The woman who was shot suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, authorities said.

Rodriguez is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, armed violence, aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member, firearm possession without a FOID card, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and criminal damage to property.

He is being held at the Kane County jail pending a future court date.
