Palatine financial planner presents virtual program focused on long-term care

Elderwerks Educational Services is offering a free virtual program Tuesday on planning for long-term health needs.

Carol Brandt, a certified long-term care planner with Brandt Financial Concepts in Palatine, will present “Live Longer, Live Smarter: Planning for Care in an Age of Medical Breakthroughs and Longer Lives” from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event, held ahead of Long-Term Care Awareness Month in November, will address what happens if an accident, sudden illness or stroke leaves a loved one needing care.

Brandt will explain why longer lives make planning for future care increasingly important and will also share real-life scenarios and pricing examples from cases she has handled.
