I welcome a blue wave

Oct. 19 was a great day. A day I've waited almost two years for. It was the first day of early voting in McHenry County, and I made my way to the Lake in the Hills Village Hall to cast my vote right after breakfast. I voted for every Democrat on the ballot, because we must send a message to President Donald Trump and his Republican enablers that the jig is up.

Call it wishful thinking, but the polls and early voting numbers are pointing to a blue wave in this midterm elections, and it felt good to be a part of it all, after enduring the corruption and cruelty of Trump's second term in office.

How sweet it is.
