A Hickory Hills man made his initial court appearance Friday after being charged with possession of a firearm reported stolen from South Carolina during a traffic stop in Palatine early Sunday.

Eduardo Salazar-Urquizo, 35, was charged with one count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver.
