Wheaton’s Gary United Methodist Church launches 12-week grief support group

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, is offering a Grief Support Group, offering a safe and caring space to share, listen, remember and find support in the loving company of others.

Open to everyone, including past participants, this group will meet for a total of 12 sessions on Thursdays, Nov. 5 to Feb. 11, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

This year’s updated program and new curriculum will be led by Rebekah Stoneberg, the Rev. Jane Hawkins and the Rev. Daniel Cochran. If you or someone you know might find comfort and companionship in this group, register at garychurch.org.

The church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Traditional worship is at 9 a.m. and blended worship at 11:11 a.m. Sundays. At both services, Kids’ Church and nursery care is available. Between services there’s Sunday school for all ages and a coffee fellowship hour.
