Q&A

Why are you running for this office? Is there a particular issue that motivates you?

As a low-income senior living in Lake County, I will bring a vital, underrepresented perspective to the Lake County Board: a real-world commitment to protecting residents from being taxed out of their homes and safeguarding essential county services.

If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of any important initiatives you’ve led. If you are a challenger, what would you bring to the board and what would your priority be?

I would bring a balanced fiscally conservative view primarily focused on making life affordable for residents in District #16

What initiatives would you support to increase revenue and/or save money?

I would support mainstreaming some of the services in Lake County to cut waste and save taxpayer dollars

Is there a specific service or amenity that is lacking in the county? If so, how do you propose to provide and fund it?

Great schools. Not a money issue but a spending issue. Restructuring the system and cutting waste

Does there need to be more bipartisanship and cooperation on the county board? If yes, what would you do to help make that happen?

Focus on what we agree on and bring common sense change

What is your stance on county board members' pay? Is it too high, too low, or just right? Would you propose any changes?

Too high for a part time job.

What is the most important issue facing the county in your district and how should it be addressed?

Property taxes reduce taxes by cutting waste in other areas
