Police: Stevenson High School student injured after slipping and falling under wheels of bus

A 14-year-old Stevenson High School student was injured Thursday evening when he slipped and slid under a moving bus, police said.

Lincolnshire police were called to the school at 5:30 p.m.

The student was running toward the moving bus when he slipped and slid beneath the bus near the rear passenger-side wheels, police said.

The bus ran over the student’s legs, police said.

The student was conscious and breathing when officers arrived, and he was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with non-life-threatening injuries.

His condition was not available Friday evening.
