Repeat Boutique in Carol Stream invites community members, local businesses, churches, and supporters to attend its Oct. 29 fundraiser and help ensure that refugees and other families in need continue receiving free clothing, household goods, and essential supplies.

It will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at The Carlisle, 435 E. Butterfield Road in Lombard. Tickets, which are $40 each or table of 10 for $350, is available at repeatboutiquecenter.com. Deadline to register is Oct. 20.

For 54 years, Repeat Boutique has been a vital community resource, providing free clothing for the family, plus housewares, bedding, and other necessities to people referred by charitable organizations throughout DuPage County.

Last year, 70 volunteers helped more than 8,000 individuals (3,000 adults and 5,000 children). Families can reap essentials for free, to then redirect their own limited funds toward groceries or rent.

“Repeat Boutique is about neighbors helping neighbors. We gather clothing and household donations from the community, then offer them for free back to those in need,” said Amy Cuny, Repeat Boutique executive director. “Every donation is an act of generosity that helps us keep our doors open, and continue serving families who need a helping hand.”

Businesses and individuals unable to attend may still contribute by making a financial donation or sending gift cards or merchandise to the raffle.

To date, these companies have generously provided to Repeat Boutique including Kendra Scott Jewelry, Glen Ellyn YMCA, HealthTrack Sports Wellness, Glen Ellyn Park District, Studio Movie Grill, Carol Stream Holiday Inn, McAlister’s Deli, Raising Cane’s, Culver’s, Pete’s Fresh Market, First Watch, Mapleberry Pancake House, Trader Joe’s, Tommy’s Express Car Wash, Drury Lane Theatre & Events, McAninch Arts Center, Fresh & Silk Flowers in Carol Stream, The Cheesecake Factory, and the Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce.
