Scout-run Haunted Hollow returns to Rosemont Oct. 23-24
Dare to step into the Haunted Hollow? Takhone Lodge #7 of Scouting America’s annual haunted house returns from 7-10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and 6-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at 9201 W. Higgins Road in Rosemont.
This year features the twisted stories of the Brothers Grimm during the approximately 45-minute haunted experience filled with scares, creatures and surprises.
Haunted Hollow is Takhone Lodge #7’s largest annual fundraiser, and it is planned, run and managed by youth in Scouting America’s Order of the Arrow program. Proceeds support local Scouting programs, including council camps and other scouting activities.
New this year is Hoedown at the Hollow, which is a family-friendly event for kids 4-10 from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. The $19.65 admission includes five activities such as pumpkin decorating, archery, slingshots, ping-pong trebuchet, face painting and more.
Families also can take a special behind-the-scenes tour, which provides a scare-free way for younger children to experience the haunt.
Regular tickets are $31.04 for a weekend pass, $19.65 for one trip. Visit hauntedhollow.org for tickets.
