Chicagoland high school football rankings: Get Mike McGraw’s Top 25 for Week 8
Geneva and Huntley move into the Top 10, while Lincoln-Way East and Loyola continue to lead the way.

1. Lincoln-Way East 7-0 (1): Jack Murphy made eight catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns in the Griffins’ dominant win over Lincoln-Way Central.

2. Loyola 7-0 (2): Rambler Air continued to soar against St. Ignatius. Aidan Collins had seven catches for 157 yards, and Jordan McKinley had five catches for 109 yards.

3. Brother Rice 5-2 (3): Notre Dame recruit Brayden Parks ran for two touchdowns while Rocco Galasso filled in for Sam Holcomb at quarterback in the Crusaders’ win over Fenwick.

4. Mount Carmel 5-2 (4): Quarterback Brady Cloherty piled up 373 passing yards and seven touchdowns in the Caravan’s win over Providence.

5. IC Catholic 7-0 (5): Jaden Penna scored two touchdowns against Benet and added an interception as the Knights stayed perfect with a big challenge looming.

6. Hersey 7-0 (6): Jaxon Saint Paul had an eventful weekend, recording 118 receiving yards on Friday and receiving an offer from Illinois on Saturday.

7. Prospect 7-0 (9): The Knights scored at least 50 points for the third straight game and have surpassed 30 points every week.

8. Oswego 6-1 (10): Caden Cooney and Caleb East returned interceptions for touchdowns as nine players found the end zone against Joliet West.

9. Geneva 6-1 (11): Eastern Michigan recruit Ben Peterson threw for 356 yards and seven touchdowns as the Vikings kept rolling against Glenbard North.

10. Huntley 7-0 (12): Led by quarterback Malik Carter, the Red Raiders have scored more than 40 points in every game and have won six by at least 40.

11. Providence 5-2 (8): Jonathan Osborne caught a 93-yard touchdown pass from Dominic Vita in the Celtics’ loss to Mount Carmel.

12. Batavia 5-2 (14): Charlie Rosengren scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:44 remaining and the defense made a red-zone stand to beat Wheaton North.

13. St. Ignatius 5-2 (13): The Hites brothers produced a 64-yard touchdown pass from Reid to Connor, but that was the extent of the Wolfpack’s scoring against Loyola.

14. Downers Grove North 6-1 (7): The Trojans tasted defeat for the first time this season when York converted a 2-point pass in overtime.

15. Maine South 6-1 (15): Keaton Vitel caught three of Indiana recruit Jameson Purcell‘s four touchdown passes as the Hawks won their sixth straight.

16. Bolingbrook 6-1 (16): Tyson Ward threw for three touchdowns while Jordan Donald ran for two as the Raiders stretched their winning streak to six too.

17. Montini 5-2 (17): Miami recruit Israel Abrams and Damacio Ortegon combined for two 48-yard touchdown passes and Johnny Louise added a pick-six against De La Salle.

18. Homewood-Flossmoor 5-2 (19): The Vikings rotated two quarterbacks against Stagg as John Gadson Jr. caught a pair of long touchdown passes.

19. Lyons 6-1 (20): EJ Kuhlman continued his monster season with 252 rushing yards and a 73-yard touchdown in the Lions’ win over Oak Park-River Forest.

20. Morgan Park 6-1 (21): Ronald Smith Jr. to Travezz Jones has become a dangerous passing combination. The Public League Red Star title is on the line this week.

21. Fenwick 4-3 (18): The schedule has been rough. Quarterback Myles Hill and running back Jake Thies scored touchdowns in the Friars’ loss to Brother Rice.

22. St. Rita 4-3 (22): Doniven Campbell filled in for the injured Brandon Johnson Jr. and rushed for 209 yards in the Mustangs’ win over Leo.

23. Sandburg 5-2 (23): Quarterback Sean Ruisz found NIU recruit Lucas Matykiewicz for three touchdown passes in the Eagles’ win over Lincoln-Way West.

24. Morris 7-0 (24): Logan Conroy ripped off a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown just before halftime to power the Warriors past Sycamore.

25. Glenbard West 5-2 (NR): Quarterback AJ Rayford got the offense started against Hinsdale Central with a 47-yard touchdown pass to Keyante Johnson.
