Get specific on complaints about president
In a recent column, Jeff Robbins describes the Republican Party’s midterm convention as a homage and fawning to President Trump. He called it “deifying” Trump, and implied Trump ‘s self-conception as Ruler of the Universe. He even implied a similarity to the cult of Adolf Hitler.
This is extreme and wrong.
As I see it, he has perfectly described the Obama years.
I had to endure eight years of Obama worship. And unlike with Trump, Obama had a constant adoring press. And still does.
Yet the lasting failures of the Obama administration, which the press ignores, are many. And, readers don’t hear much about President Trump’s many great successes, because they are ignored by the press.
I get it, Mr. Robbin’s does not like President Trump. But discuss specific policies that he opposes, and why. For example, does he oppose Trump’s success in securing the border, and ending illegal crimes? His blind progressive bias is not helpful for readers who desperately want genuine news.
