Students invited to create sign as part of Lake County’s long-range transportation plan

The Lake County Division of Transportation invites students in grades six through eight to participate in the Create-A-Sign Contest as part of Envision 2050, the county’s long-range transportation plan.

Students should design an original sign using any artistic medium that promotes safe walking and biking habits and highlights the importance of transportation safety in their community.

The contest runs through Oct. 19. First-, second- and third-place sign designs, as well as honorable mentions, will be given their own ribbons to celebrate their achievement. The winning design will be created by LCDOT in its shop.
