Batavia Rotary Club hosts fifth annual Trivia Night to End Polio Oct. 10
The Rotary Club of Batavia invites the community to put its knowledge to the test while supporting a global cause at its fifth annual Trivia Night to End Polio on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The evening combines friendly competition, food, prizes, and fellowship while raising funds for Rotary’s PolioPlus Foundation and the worldwide effort to eradicate polio.
It will be 6 to 9 p.m. at Enticing Cuisine, 1117 N. Washington Ave., Batavia. Tickets are $60 per person, with teams of four to eight people. Admission includes trivia, heavy appetizers throughout the evening, and one drink ticket for use at the cash bar. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.
“Trivia Night gives people an opportunity to have a great evening together while contributing to one of Rotary’s most important humanitarian efforts,” said Greg Pierce, event chair for the Rotary Club of Batavia. “Every team, ticket, and sponsorship helps us move closer to a world without polio.”
This year, contributions can have an even greater impact. Funds raised for the event will receive a 2-to-1 match from the Gates Foundation. That means, for example, a $500 contribution can ultimately result in $1,500 supporting the effort to end polio.
Local businesses and organizations are also invited to sponsor Trivia Night. Sponsors will receive recognition during the welcome presentation and on signage throughout the venue, while helping the Rotary Club of Batavia increase the event’s impact.
The Rotary Club of Batavia has served Batavia and the surrounding community for over 75 years, combining local service with Rotary’s broader commitment to improving lives around the world.
