Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at the Palatine Library

From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the Palatine Library has planned a lineup of events that highlight the rich heritage and diverse traditions of the Hispanic community. Celebrate through storytimes, lectures, performances and more, fit for all ages.

The library also offers e-resources in Spanish, such as Hispanic Life in America, Northstar Digital Literacy, Mango Languages, and Lote4Kids. All are free to use with your library card.

On the library’s website, you’ll find two book recommendations for Hispanic Heritage Month — one in English and one in Spanish — hand-selected by the library’s bilingual staff.

The library will also hold an event in partnership with the restaurant No Manches! Flavors of Remembrance from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28. A celebration of Day of the Dead cuisine and culture will be shared through a cooking demonstration by No Manches! Check out the event calendar online for a full list of all-ages programming.
