Local Algonquin student receives Woman’s Life scholarship

Woman’s Life recently announced Nicholas Jamison of Algonquin as a Woman’s Life Scholarship recipient for the 2026-27 academic year. Jamison, a member of Club 11 in Port Huron, Michigan, will study astrophysics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

“Scholarships are one way Woman’s Life helps our members invest in their futures,” said Lisa Pilon, Woman’s Life Member Engagement Representative. “We are honored to recognize Nicholas as an outstanding student and support him as he pursues his education, develops his talents and makes a meaningful difference in the community.”

Each year, Woman’s Life awards four merit- and need-based scholarships for undergraduate study. Each scholarship provides $1,000 per year for up to four years. Additional recipients are: Chesney Carmack of Katy, Texas; Kegan McPharlin of Port Huron, Michigan; and Dane Smith of Kimball, Michigan.
