Junked cars catch on fire at Elgin yard

At least 50 cars, and possibly as many as 75, were burned in a fire around 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at the Copart auto salvage yard, 1475 Bluff City Blvd., Elgin.

The cause is undetermined, according to the Elgin Fire Department. Nobody was injured, officials said.
