DSA policies: A midterm gift to the Republicans

Some members of the Democratic Party appear bound to repeat a more extreme version of its fatal 2024 election strategy when it was successfully attacked for its idealistic but politically unworkable DEI, open-borders and trans policies.

The hard-left DSA, Democrat Socialists of America, have an agenda that is an outright gift to the Republicans to run against in the midterms.

DSA's smooth-talking candidates in Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania and Colorado have been successful in selling highly principled but radical as well as unfeasible policies to voters desperate for change. These voters are apparently unaware of the dire consequences in the implementation of great-sounding, but inherently flawed programs such as fully abolishing the police and prison system, and defunding the Department of Defense. These ideas will be vigorously attacked by Republicans who have been encouraged to do so by none other than Karl Rove who said: “ Republicans should press their opponents to endorse or disavow socialist proposals.”

Democratic candidates who ignore history and advocate DSA proposals will not only be a gift to the Republicans, but will turn off and potentially lose the votes of moderate Democrat and Independent midterm voters as well. These candidates need only recall the 2000 presidential election to see why every vote counts.

George W. Bush won Florida and the presidency by a mere 537 votes in 2000. Unfortunately for the Democrats, over 97,000 environmentally conscious and likely Democratic voters cast their ballots for the highly principled Green Party's Ralph Nader --- rendering a powerful political lesson: elections in America are not won on principles, but by appealing to voters' interests with feasible, common sense plans of action, a Democratic Project 2029 if you will.
