Community Connections Summit to explore meaningful conversations Sept. 11 at MCC
The Community Connections Summit, themed “Building Community Through Conversations That Matter,” will take place on Friday, Sept. 11. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McHenry County College’s Luecht Auditorium, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.
The event offers eight or more breakout sessions, free CEUs, and a complimentary lunch. Sponsor opportunities are also available, and interested parties can contact Kris at kdoherty@mc708.org for details.
The keynote speaker for the summit is Shira Greenfield, LCPC, who will present “One Conversation at a Time: Creating Connection in a Disconnected World.” Her presentation centers on the idea that we are born, wounded, and healed within relationships, which are ultimately built or broken one conversation at a time. She will explore the various ways people connect and disconnect in today’s digital age.
