Oak Brook celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with music, drones, and fireworks
On Saturday, Sept. 12, the village of Oak Brook is hosting “America 250,” a community-wide celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of our country. It will feature live music, food, a drone show, and a fireworks spectacular at SportsCore field, 700 Oak Brook Road in Oak Brook.
Gates open at 5 p.m. This community event also features local restaurants, the Alter Brewing + Kitchen Beer Garden. Admission and parking are free.
Kicking off the festivities will be Rearview: A Tribute to Pearl Jam from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
It will be followed by a village presentation and DJ at 6 p.m. Funky Monks: A Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute will perform at 6:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m., the DJ will keep the party pumping until the main event at 8:30 p.m., featuring the Sky Spectacle: Epic Drone Show & Fireworks Finale.
