We need a change in Illinois

The Daily Herald keeps showing the most left-leaning articles or information and Captol News Illinois is definitely on that list.

Peter Hancock the author of the piece from Capitol News “Illinois Pritzker and Bailey offer different visions for Illinois” points out that Bailey has been defining a different message on education "sometimes inaccurately". Well then lets see.

Hancock states that Bailey said, "When 70% of our children cannot read and write and do math at grade level that's a problem and everyone knows it". Then he shows according the Illinois 2025 report card, only 47.6% of Illinois students scored below proficiency in English Language Arts while 61.6% scored below proficiency in math. It gets better in Chicago Public Schools where the report card showed 58% of students scored below proficiency in English Language Arts while 73% did so in math. I like his play on words using "did so", meaning score below proficiency. So, if we round all this out we only get at best in English Language Arts 50% making the cut and only 40% in math. Then in Chicago 42% making the cut in English Language Arts and sadly 27% making the cut in math.

Sounds pretty abysmal to me no matter what Bailey said and yes it is a problem. This is a systemic failure of one-party rule here in Illinois for so long.

Pritzker is definitely part of this problem along with the Democrat so-called leadership of this state. We are are tired of a governor that truly runs Illinois like it is his personal kingdom and bank for the CTA, tollway, and CPS .

It has not always been like this. My children went to schools in the ‘80s through the early 2000s and had great teachers and many administrators. Well times have changed and we need change right now.
