No injuries reported in Buffalo Grove apartment fire

Buffalo Grove firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire Saturday night in the bedroom of an apartment.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which was reported at about 9:50 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Old Oak Drive, authorities said.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke in a first-floor apartment, officials said. They stretched a hose line to the apartment and quickly extinguished the fire, which was confined to the unit.

None of its occupants were at home at the time, and residents of other apartments were allowed to return home after the fire was put out.

Firefighters reported smoke and water damage.
