Blue states’ policies affect affordability

I watched President Trump’s speech on television Dec. 18, 2025. He talked about the economy and prices coming down in different sectors of our nation in one part of his speech. I’m pleased with his economic policies and the direction that they’re heading. That said, there are still some comments that he could have made to help benefit some listeners who do not follow politics closely.

President Trump inherited a train wreck from the Biden administration. So, he has to work extra hard to move us in a positive economic direction. He’s doing that but some do not fully understand, comprehend or correlate the transition. Some view their situations as not greatly improving. For example, Mr. Trump stated that in some areas of the country that gasoline is now $1.99 per gallon. However, if one lives in Illinois, New York or California, gasoline is still substantially higher. The state and local governments have a direct input on additional taxes for different areas, such as gasoline, food, utilities and so forth.

True, Democrat decisions and policies helped get our nation into a dismal economic state nationally, but in blue states their efforts and policies continue to work against the average citizen.

As one closely examines the policies and additional taxes in blue states, one can easily ascertain higher cost of living situations caused by their policies and additional taxes. Thus, I recommend that Mr. Trump consider highlighting some of these things in future speeches since this works against affordability for average citizens in those states.

People in our nation need to support what Mr. Trump is trying to do for America. That also means voting the Democrats out during elections. Their policies and globalist agenda work against the common man and are not good for America.
