How to watch the Cubs’ national broadcast Saturday — moved because of a conflict with the Bears
A conflict with the Chicago Bears preseason game Saturday night is forcing the national broadcast of the Cubs game against the Seattle Mariners to a secondary channel.
After the April 4 Cubs-Guardians game in Cleveland — scheduled for a Fox Sports national broadcast — got rained out, the network was allowed to choose another Cubs game. Fox opted for Saturday’s 6:15 p.m. game in Seattle, one of three MLB games slated nationally that night.
Because it’s a national broadcast, the Cubs game won’t air simultaneously on Marquee Sports Network.
However, the Bears’ 6 p.m. preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals will be broadcast locally on Fox-32. That is forcing the Cubs-Mariners game to air in the Chicago area on Fox Chicago+ (WPWR-50).
Fox Chicago+ is available on Channel 8 on Comcast, and the Cubs-Mariners game also can be streamed on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, the Fox Sports app and the Fox One app.
Fox-32 (WFLD) is the Bears’ official broadcast partner for preseason games, giving them priority on the main Fox channel in the Chicago area over the Cubs’ national Fox broadcast.
