SWALCO to collect unwanted household waste on Aug. 29

Safely get rid of unwanted paint, batteries, light bulbs and other potentially dangerous items Aug. 29 in Mundelein.

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will accept household waste from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mundelein’s Metra station, 205 N. Archer Ave.

Participation is free and open to Illinois residents.

A list of acceptable items is at swalco.org/167/HCW-Accepted-Unacceptable-Items. No business-related garbage will be accepted.
