Tornado sirens accidentally set off overnight in DuPage County

Residents in DuPage County were awakened by tornado sirens early Tuesday morning that were activated accidentally, officials said.

The Villa Park police department issued a statement on social media saying the sirens were set off accidentally in several DuPage County cities about 3 a.m. Tuesday when there was no weather emergency.

Officials said the alarms went off during a test of the emergency systems.
