Sen. Murphy hosting senior fraud seminar Aug. 26

Illinois Sen. Laura Murphy will host a senior fraud seminar at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Niles Senior Center, 999 Civic Center Drive, Niles.

During the seminar, attendees will hear from AARP about common scams, senior fraud awareness, scam prevention and online safety. Light refreshments will be provided.

“Older adults are often the most vulnerable to these scams and fraud schemes, so it is crucial that we educate and keep them informed on how to protect themselves,” said Murphy, a Democrat from Des Plaines.
