It took courage to go to war

Syndicated columnist Keith Raffel obviously is not a fan of our current resident. Allow me to respond to one of Raffel’s comments, “Trump waged war on Iran without making a compelling case.”

It’s been said before but Raffel and the many readers of the Daily Herald need to hear it again. For 47 years, Iran has been saying “Death to America and Israel.” A great example of this is when their terrorist group Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, from the Gaza Strip massacred innocent Israeli men, women and children.

Iranians were developing a nuclear weapon. The $1.7 billion given them from President Obama might have helped support this initiative. They were encouraging/funding terrorist groups in the Middle East as well as pockets through the world.

They were slaughtering their own people who were peacefully protesting. They are anti-Western civilization, anti-Christian. I think these are enough reasons to wage war and hopefully change the culture of one of the worst nations that ever existed.

I will pay higher prices for gas to have Iran brought to their knees and hopefully have an administration change. Thank you, President Trump, to have the courage to stand up to this rogue nation that is disrupting peace and stability throughout the world.
