Apply for opening on St. Charles Public Library board

The St. Charles Public Library District invites residents to apply for appointment to a vacant position on its board of trustees beginning Aug. 13, 2026.

The selected candidate will serve the remainder of the current term, which expires in May 2027. Library trustees play a vital role in guiding the organization by establishing policies, overseeing financial stewardship, and supporting the library's mission and strategic direction.

Interested residents should submit a letter of interest and resume to the board of trustees no later than Sept. 9, 2026. The board meets at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.
