Dogs eke out a win to start series with Milwaukee

After ending a losing streak on Sunday, the Chicago Dogs carried the momentum to Milwaukee with Tuesday’s 9-7 win over the Milkmen to start the series.

Dogs starter Steven Lacey produced another dominant start, striking out seven and allowing just 1 run in his 5.1 innings of work. He earned the win thanks to his offense getting out ahead early.

Dogs reliever Regi Grace Jr. allowed a run on a one-plus of work. Austin Eaton shut the door in the ninth and earned a four-out save.

Fifteen hits and five walks produced nine runs for the Dogs, including three innings where Chicago put up a crooked number. Ethan Wilder, Chance Sisco, Zach Stokes and Gio DiGiacomo had multiple hits.
