Lombard seeks vendors for 20th annual senior fair
The village of Lombard is inviting local organizations and businesses to participate in its 20th annual Lombard Senior Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
It will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lombard Park District’s Madison Meadow Athletic Center. The event connects older adults with helpful resources, health screenings and information about community programs and services.
“The senior fair is a great example of our community coming together to support older adults,” said Trustee Jessie Hammersmith, chair of the community relations committee. “We encourage organizations to join us as we celebrate 20 years of connecting seniors with valuable services, programs and resources.”
The Lombard Senior Fair is well attended each year and features flu shots, blood pressure checks, hearing screenings, DMV services and information from a wide range of local organizations and businesses. Admission is free for all seniors.
Interested vendors are encouraged to apply at villageoflombard.org/seniorfair.
Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to vendors offering health and wellness services, senior-focused resources and programs that directly benefit older adults.
The deadline to submit an application is Friday, Sept. 11. For-profit businesses will be required to pay a $100 vendor fee, which helps support the event. Nonprofit organizations and government agencies will be exempt from the fee.
