Hanover Township Department of Aging Services receives more than $560K in grant funding

The Hanover Township Department of Aging Services has been awarded $569,730 in grant funding from AgeOptions to support the township’s nutrition and social services, as well as senior center operations, programming and transportation services for older adults.

AgeOptions awarded $263,903 to support the township’s Home Delivered Meal Program. The program serves, on average, 120 residents Monday through Friday, as well as holiday meals. In Fiscal Year 2026, volunteers delivered 37,513 meals to homebound residents.

The township received $121,350 for senior center operations, programming, counseling, caregiver resource respite services and transportation services. In FY26, 25,668 program registrations were logged.

Township buses provide transportation for residents 55 and older as well as individuals with a disability for dialysis treatments, medical appointments, grocery shopping and other personal errands. In FY26, 17,583 one-way rides were conducted.

The Stars N Stripes Café, the township’s congregate meal program located in the Senior Center, received $110,465 in funding.

The township’s Caregiver Resource Center received $74,012 from AgeOptions. Launched in October of 2024, the CRC focuses on caregiver support.
