St. Alexius emergency department award puts it among top 2% in nation
The emergency department at Ascension Saint Alexius has been recognized with the Emergency Nurses Association’s (ENA) 2026 Lantern Award for demonstrating excellence in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research performance, officials said.
Saint Alexius’ emergency department is one of just 126 nationally to receive award. The award places Saint Alexius in the top 2% of emergency departments in the nation.
“Our team doesn't just show up to work. They deliver world-class emergency care,” Kelsey Knutti, chief nursing officer at Ascension Saint Alexius, said in an announcement of the award.
The Saint Alexius Emergency Department team will be honored with all other Lantern Award recipients at the ENA’s annual conference in Phoenix this fall.
