Aurora to host Beep Baseball World Series on Aug. 3-8

The National Beep Baseball Association World Series is coming to Aurora on Monday-Saturday, Aug. 3-8. The 50th annual event will be held at Stuart Sports Complex, 39W585 Jericho Road, Aurora. Admission is free.

Beep baseball is an adaptive, sound-driven version of baseball designed for blind and visually impaired athletes, featuring a beeping ball, buzzing foam bases, and blindfolds worn by all players to ensure fair competition.

The opening ceremonies will be at 4 p.m. Monday with the round robin tournament beginning with game 1 at 5:30 p.m. The games continue at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday. It will be followed by six double elimination games at 8, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the placement games will be at 8 and 11 a.m. with the game for third place at 2 p.m. The championship game will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
