‘Odyssey’ has it all

Like most everyone else who enjoys movies — even if it means going to a theater and spending three hours without a break. I went to an afternoon showing of “The Odyssey.”

So, what's not to like? It's gorgeous, it's graphic and it's very loud. What's more, it's sure to appeal to fans of both “Game of Thrones” and the John Wick franchise. And for good measure, there's a tribute to the King Arthur legend to boot.

While the first half hour drags, the rest of the movie is lightning fast, as it bounces from one climactic scene to another. By the time the credits roll, the viewer's heart is thumping and his or her ears are throbbing and what more can you want from a summer blockbuster that's appealing to all ages?
