Rand Road closures planned in Palatine this week

Rand Road under Route 53 in Palatine will be closed for intermittent 15-minute intervals Wednesday and Thursday for pouring of new bridge decks.

The northbound Route 53 exit ramp to Rand and the southbound Route 53 entrance ramp from Rand also will be closed during these times.

The work is part of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s ongoing improvements of Route 53 from Interstate 90 to Lake-Cook Road.

Additional intermittent road closures are planned on Rand Road next week.
